Blog & Knit Obsession

Almost a week into the new year... and I haven't done much of anything. And that... is flippin' fabulous! I have been laying low and focusing on things, chores and goals around the house in the next few [winter] months. My bedroom is getting a make over and Brayden's room will get getting a big boy full size bed (so I've been charging a lot lately... there goes the first goal of the new year out the window).

I am happy to report that my blog obsession is back! Fourth quarter of 2009 I didn't read many blogs. None really, and even ignored my own. Everything seems to inspire me again, which is good and bad. My day isn't complete until I at least glance at the following sites:

  1. A Beautiful Mess blog/Elsie Flanigan - great online personality & just looove her style, not to mention the extraordinary eye candy she posts!!! and be sure to check out her shop
  2. Becky Higgins blog just because of the huge 2010 scrapbook project called "project life" - you'll be hearing and seeing a lot more about that in the near future
  3. Shutterfly's new blog for photobook ideas and photo tips (one of my goals is to get back into book commenting in the Shutterfly Gallery, need to kick my Guru status up a notch!)
  4. My recently discovered We Heart It website... awesome and always unexpecting
  5. And check out this collection a day project from Lisa Congdon - very, extremely very, cool (is that a sentence?)
I have knitting at my lunch breaks at work and while watching Prep & Landing and Despereaux for 3,000th time! My 13 year old nephew actually wanted his Aunt Tee Tee (me) to make him a hat. Of course! I was very excited by his request. But as I knit it, I keep thinking he's going to hate it. Which is fine, I'll save it for when Brayden gets bigger then. And Auntie Gail's belated Christmas Mochimochi Land stackable pup. I gave him to her for the holiday even though he looked like a pet rock at the time - her words, not mine ;o) The ears, tail and 2.5 feet are ready, only 1.5 feet to go. I named him Leo. Pup two and three will be Lance and Lexi. I will post Leo next week.

Speaking of knitting... I need friends on Ravelry and my name is Tiffany719 so search me out! I have a few projects posted on there too and hope to get that updated soon. The camera and I need some QT with some of my current projects.
